DR. HAL FREED
AU.D.-F-AAA
Dr. Hal Freed knows a lot about sound
As the youngest of four children, whose parents were Holocaust survivors, Dr. Freed grew up in a very musical home with eclectic styles of music always surrounding him.
Dr. Freed started playing drums at age 11 and guitar at 14 years old. As a teenager he played in different musical bands around the New York City area with older musicians. He left college to pursue a career in music and while doing so he appeared on MTV, Entertainment Tonight and in Billboard Magazine. He has worked with many professional musicians and producers in the music industry such as Don Kirshner of the famed “Don Kirchner‘s Rock Concerts,” Cy Curnin of the band The Fixx and MC Search of the famed Rap group 3RD Bass.
During his early 20’s Dr. Freed sadly lost both of his parents to Cancer and Heart Disease.
It was at that time that he knew he wanted a career change to the medical field in order to help others in and around his community.
Dr. Freed received his Masters in Audiology from Queens College in 1996 and completed his Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida in spring 2000.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has served as an adjunct professor for Adelphi University and as a facilitator for the Doctorate program in Audiology for the University of Florida.
Dr. Freed has been in the hearing industry for over 25 years with a specialty in Auditory Rehabilitation. He utilizes only state-of-the-art technology to provide his patients with the best outcomes, improving their quality of life through better hearing.
When he is not in the center, he enjoys spending time entertaining family and friends, taking trips with his motorcycle, and of course, listening to and playing music.
Dr. Freed loves to help others.
He lives by the motto of “live and let live.”
